7:150 'And when Moses returned unto his people angry and aggrieved, he said, "How evil is the course you have followed after me! Would you hasten the command of your Lord?" And He cast down the Tablets and seized his brother by the head, dragging him toward himself. He said, "Son of my mother! Truly the people deemed me weak, and they were about to kill me. So let not the enemies rejoice in my misfortune, and place me not with the wrongdoing people."

Why was Moses angry?

❀️ Because his people had gone astray! (How would we know if we were on the straight path?)

πŸ’š While Moses was on the mountain speaking to God they made a calf to worship instead of God even though this was clearly the opposite of what Moses was teaching. (What is being worshipped instead of God?)

🀍 They believed that the calf they had fashioned using their ornaments was their God and the God of Moses. (What do we believe has more power than God? Such that we do not even fear God?)

πŸ–€ Prophet Aaron tried to stop them but they were too far gone. (What insanity becomes possible when people cross the bounds of delusion?)

❀️ Some believe that the people had become confused as the fashioners of this calf had used trickery to make them believe the calf was a God (Al Samiri - The Samaritan). The reason is that they were able to make it emit the sound of a live calf. They had placed holes in the calf so when the wind blew through it the calf made a sound. (What have we been tricked into believing? What do we need to wake up to?)

πŸ’š Moses had gone up into the mountains to receive the Tablets which were the written word of God. The Tablets were brought by Angel Gabriel. So it was no small feat to πŸ“¨ them and they were received for the good of the people who were busy creating distractions. (How do we honour the word of God?)

🀍 The Tablets contained an elaboration of all the things that people needed to know to practice their faith and live in harmony. God commanded Moses and his people to take hold of them with strength. (Hold on to the rope of Allah SWT, πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ has shown us that our biggest strength is our faith.)

πŸ–€ Moses was angry at those who, 'wax arrogant' because he knew that they were just making themselves out to be grand and by implication belittling others. Moses knew that this would incur conflict on this earth and between the people. (Turn away from the arrogant and be not like them.)

❀️ Moses was sad that his people had gone astray and that he was perhaps at fault for having left them. He was also aggrieved that he had to leave his intimate discourse with God to address the matter. (😒)

πŸ’š It is believed that Moses was to be on the mountain for 40 days and that his stay had been extended. In frustration and retaliation the people had lost their faith. Moses asked them, 20:86 'Did your Lord now make a goodly promise? Did the pact seem too long for you? (Let us hold on to God's promise. Let us make the effort to create changes that last.)

🀍 Moses is so upset he throws the Tablets in anger and they break. He then reprimands his brothers and asks how he could have let this happen. (We need to find our local tribe and connect with our global tribe.)

πŸ–€ When Moses left he appointed Aaron in his place. The people did not recognise Aaron's authority and therefore chose Al Samiri over him and were even prepared to kill him if he did not let them do what they wanted. (Know the truth so that when it is spoken we recognise it regardless of which medium it comes from).

❀️ There is upset between Moses and his Brother Aaron because of the actions of the people. Aaron begs Moses to not further humiliate him and they both turn to God in repentance. (Forgive one another and reunite to be one.)

Take the lessons, lead when needed, follow when needed and always let the Qur'an guide us into a more peaceful future. β˜πŸΌπŸ•ŠοΈ
