Allah SWT says, 6:32 - incidentally that's the exact time I opened the Qur'an and found this verse. His signs are everywhere. β€οΈ
6:32 'The life of this world is naught but play and diversion. Better indeed is the Abode of the Hereafter for those who are reverent. Do you not understand?'
This life is temporary and we forget that so we become super attached to it. Some are not sure if there is indeed anything after this life. It can be jarring when you believe something with complete conviction and someone does not. π¬ We become desperate to convince them to do what we believe is 'good' so perhaps we may all have some peace (I'm obviously referring to myself here). π³
However God reminds us -
6:35 'And if their turning away is distressing to thee, then seek, if thou canst, a tunnel into the earth, or a ladder unto the sky, that thou mightest bring them a sign. Had God willed, He would have gathered them all to guidance - so be not among the ignorant.'
Sometimes we cannot ignite faith in others even if we try. We cannot force people to look within when they are not ready. π
Allah SWT reminds us that we don't need to. That we can let go of desperation and that the world we live in is co-created (with God). We need to do our best and hand the rest over to God. π₯Ή
The life of this world is temporary and we have another journey waiting for us. My friend Zak taught me that, he said the only things we will be taking with us into the next life, is our deeds and this spirit within us. These two things are our only possessions. β€οΈπππ©·ππ©΅
If we want peace we have to give that to the world. If we want love we have to give that to the world. We can take a horse to water, we cannot force it to drink. Let Go(d). ππΌπ€²π½
