On the day our wonderful friend Zak passed a squirrel came dashing towards me it stood and looked at me a moment and then dashed off again. Since then a squirrel has made a home in our garden Alhamdullilah. Allah SWT is the most merciful. 💚🐿️
9:116 'Truly unto God belongs Sovereignty over the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death. Apart from God you have neither protector nor helper.'

When we search for truth sometimes the clocks and veils of delusion capture and tangle our thoughts. We see things from our own perspective, we see things through the egos eye, we see the world through our past. When the mind is left to roam in muddy waters it will find itself burdened by the weight of the mud. Overcast by the burden of delusion.
When we come to the Book 📚 we come to truth and the mind has an opportunity to cleanse. To purify, to cast away delusion, to reflect, to consider, to reset, to realign, to explore sirat-ul-mustaqeem. This is the straight way. The straight way is not just about doing halal things. The straight way is also about removing the delusions that distract us.
If we look at the above verse as a circle, a cycle if you may -
Unto God belongs Sovereignty

Over the heavens and the earth (everything)
⬇️
Because it is He who gives life and causes death
⬇️
Given the immense power, really only He can protect and help us.
⬇️
Therefore from our own perspective unto God belongs Sovereignty
Truth. Simple truth.
If God is the one who gives life and causes death then by that very logic we can say that indeed He would be the best of protectors and helpers. 💚
Now this does not mean that we cast ourselves off into a solitude life. God sends His love, protection and help through many means. We just have to notice.
- A friend who listens and does not judge helping us feel we belong and are safe.
- A squirrel that comes to say hello to help with grief.
- A family member who pays you a compliment to lift your spirits.
- A letter someone sends that makes you feel thought about.
- A colleague at work that praises your work and you feel valued.
- A secret wish you had that came true.
- A Book of Guidance so we never have to feel lost again.
- The sun's rays so that we never feel outside of God's light again.
- The breeze so we never feel the absence of a loving touch.
He is all around us. We just have to believe with open hearts and remove anything that casts a veil. 🩷
The truly epic Road Dahl said -
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
