Think Well, Feel Well.
A free 3-session course on faith and culturally sensitive well-being for people living in and around Hackney.
Think Well, Feel Well is a 3-session free course for those living in Hackney, and will take place over 3 Friday evenings in February and March 2020. The exact dates are: Friday 28th February, Friday 6th March, Friday 13th March, and the sessions will take place between 6:00pm and 9:00pm at the Old Fire Station in Stoke Newington (in the Main Hall).
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and preference will be given to people living in the London Borough of Hackney, and surrounding boroughs.
The three sessions will cover:
1) Mental Health awareness and access to therapeutic support in the Hackney region
2) Self-development and soft skills training (training material will be provided to participants to take away with them)
3) Creative therapy as an outlet (we will have one or more individuals who are involved in creative therapy work to demonstrate how this works, and its benefits)
The sessions will be delivered by Aamna Khokhar, Founder of Leaf Coaching, and a qualified teacher, charity founder, and life coach. The workshops have been developed to take into account the particular needs of the black and ethnic minorities living in and around Hackney, through focus groups, and dinner events that Leaf Coaching and it's partners have run over the past 2-3 years.
Participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance.
