When a woman secures the job she wants, not only does it provide financial independence and job satisfaction, It transforms lives as well as communities.

This workshop is aimed at:

  • Helping women build their confidence in looking for work.
  • Enabling women to recognise and use valuable life learnt skills and experiences in getting work they want.
  • Identifying barriers and exploring strategies to help women succeed in job interviews
  • Setting actions that will maximise chances of securing work.

About Asma Ahmad

Asma has worked in Post 16 Education for the last 17 years as a leader, a facilitator of training in teaching and learning and a teacher. Her experiences have been enhanced further through studying an MA in Education Management which enabled a more specialised study of developing productive teams and quality assurance as well as curriculum design and delivery.

Asma has also worked as an independent Educational Consultant across London supporting organisations to improve their overall quality and performance of provision offered to young people and adults. In her current role she is Head of Faculty for ESOL (English as a Second Language) and Supported Learning at a London inner city college. She is also the lead in facilitating training to improve teaching and learning at a weekend supplementary Arabic School and helps charities that support the educational advancement of young children in the UK and abroad.

Asma is a qualified coach and embeds coaching frameworks into the day-to-day interactions with individuals, teams and organisations. The work has brought her much fulfilment, especially when the person she works with reaches a state of genuine appreciation of themselves and that moment of enlightenment! She particularly enjoys working in the areas of professional development and with women who want to progress into management and leadership roles. She is a contributing member of WLN (Womens Leadership Network)
